On the Caution blog I have posted two journals from a previous year.  One earned 70%, the other earned 98%.

I would like you to read the prompt below, the rubric and then the two journals.

In the comments section of this post, I would like you to describe three things that the second journal (the 96%) did better than the first (the 72%).  Read the rubric first to determine what criteria I am looking for when evaluating your journals.

Journal Prompt

Topic: The economics of high school credit mills

Primary Question:  Should students be able to pay for grades?

Further details and questions

Very few people would publicly support high school ‘credit mills’ yet they continue to exist.  Use the concepts of opportunity cost and incentives to explain why they are successful. Would you consider paying for grades an equitable/efficient/equal outcome? How can incentives, enforcement, laws be changed to create a better system?
