AP Requirements and Responsibilities
Each group will be responsible for creating a handout on their assigned topic and giving it to me the morning indicated on the schedule. I will photocopy it for the class. You will also need to email me an electronic copy. Maximum of 2 pages double-sided.
Before the next Tuesday, you will be responsible for looking over the handout, watching the videos and completing the multiple choice questions (these results will be graded).
You will complete one during the semester in class. The assignment will be made up of FRQ from previous years’ exams.
You may choose your group and your topic – first come, first serve. Schedule and Topic Selection

Enrichment Requirements and Responsibilities
You will read the book The Undercover Economist by Tim Harford. Each week you will read two chapters from the book and answer the following questions online:
- What was the most interesting thing you learnt from this chapter?
- Why did you find it interesting?
After reading the book you will create a Thinking Like an Economist scrapbook. The scrapbook (either physical or virtual) will capture your ‘economics in the wild’ experiences – i.e. examples of economic concepts you encounter in real life. It must contain at least 5 pages (examples of economics in the wild).
Example: Here is a picture from Second Cup that illustrates inelastic demand and price discrimination. For a scrapbook I would explain the concept and how the picture illustrated it. I would also briefly describe why the business would use this strategy. You don’t have to use businesses. Economics is everywhere!
